Reserve Tempranillo 2022

Our Reserve Wines are made only in the best years from our oldest blocks.

  • The fruit was crushed to small open topped fermenters, it also had a 5% addition of pressed out Shiraz skins to help increase tannin content and then it was hand plunged three times a day through out its fermentation.
  • The wine spends 18 months in 50% new oak barrels, the barrels are a mix of French (70%) and American (30%).
  • The wine is bottled without the use of filtration to maximise the quality of the flavours but this will lead to a deposit of harmless crystals being left in the bottle.

As with all of our Reserve and Estate wines the fruit was grown biodynamically and the winemaking practices are also fully biodynamic using only the natural wild yeast and not adding any enzymes or other artificial additives to the wine. 

*Fining agents are protein based compounds used to reduce the level of phenolics in the wine so it is vegan friendly.
